Your Bleeding Star Doesn’t Err
Mohammed Ash

You’re trying to escape
your aura
and your heart is
vomiting
bleeding
from human cruelty
and despair.

Using a toxic rope to repress it
is not a solution.
Let go of your fear
and follow
your star.
Your heart is a gospel
listen to it
every time you hear
its melody.

Forget
about the meteoroids
inside your
galaxy.
Don’t give up
like Woody giving his voice box to Gabby.
Believe in it
and it will show you
the way
to immortal peace.

And when you do,
millions of bleeding stars
will see you in the sky
shining on their
sleepless nights.

Mohammed Ash (he/him) is a writer & artist, born and raised in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in 1997. He’s interested in animation, music, politics and makeup. Mohammed studied Psychology in King Abdulaziz University for four years but due to his sexuality he couldn’t finish his education and became a refugee at 22. He’s been in the UK for two years and wants to become a mental health nurse in the near future.
